El Roble Intermediate School



This competition is a joint effort between the Claremont Unified School District and The Claremont Colleges. In this competition, students in grades 5-12, working in teams under the direction of knowledgeable adult mentors, will learn technical problem solving skills. This robotics competition requires the application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and challenges teams of students to design, build, and program robots to compete in the following categories:

Design and Construction - Each team competes by designing and building a robot.
Interview and Display - Each team competes by illustrating and explaining the robotics project they have created.
Match Competition - Each team competes to accomplish robotics tasks using their fully autonomous robot.
An informational meeting for parents and students in Grades 5-8 will be held on Wednesday, February 1, at 7:00 pm in room 105 at CHS . Attached is the flyer for more information.
