Athletics
Athletic Clearance
El Roble participates in various sports throughout the school year. Each sport offered at El Roble will have a three-day tryout from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Official tryout dates will be posted. Players are not required to attend all three days of tryouts however, the more days that you attend, the better chance the coaches have to evaluate your skills.
Please watch this video with information about El Roble Athletics.
WINTER SPORTS PRACTICE AND GAME SCHEDULE:
Please wear appropriate attire to the practices and be prepared to show up on time and ready to go. Change in the locker room right after school (TAKE ALL BELONGINGS WITH YOU) and meet at the appropriate spot. Your coach will let you know where you will be meeting for each practice or game.
*** TRACK SEASON IS HERE!!! ***
If you are interested, our first meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 3rd at 2:30pm on the track.
There will be different tables set up according to event categories. Throughout the season students will get to try out as many events as you want, but for this first meeting, please go to the table that has the event you are MOST interested in.
TABLES ARE:
Sprints: 100M, 200M, 400M
Distance: 800M, 1600M
Field: Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put
The first and second day we will be collecting paperwork, going over expectations, athletes will meet the coaches, and sign up for the other events they are interested in participating in.
If you have tried out or been on a sport team previously this year, you do not need to get another physical (unless you have used a physical for a previous sport that has now expired - they are good one 1 calendar year).
If this is the first sport your are trying out for or participating in you will need to have all of the Athletics Forms filled out and have your physical completed to participate.
These forms are available in the Office, in Room 503 as well as linked above.
If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Bibic in room 503 or email at sbibic@cusd.claremont.edu.
IMPORTANT: You must have ALL of the Athletic Clearance forms completed to participate:
