Administrative Team
Sean Delgado, Ed.D., is proud to be principal of El Roble Intermediate. His career spans as a high school assistant principal at Chino Hills, Nogales, and Don Lugo High Schools. Most recently, he served as principal at San Antonio High School, where he helped transform San Antonio as the only continuation to earn Apple Distinguished School recognition.
He is passionate about finding ways to elevate public schools in innovative ways.
Dr. Delgado earned his B.A. at Berkeley, M. Ed. at UCLA, and his Ed.D. at USC. He was once a Bruin, once a Trojan, but will always be a Golden Bear.
In his spare time, he enjoys Laker and Dodger games, Star Wars and Marvel movies, and cooking on his cast iron skillet. He has a wife and two kids, and an energetic golden doodle named Ezra Bridger.
Chantal Welch is excited to be part of the El Roble Team. Her career began in Elk Grove Unified School District in Northern California. She then moved to San Diego and taught middle school special education, leadership and yearbook. She also worked in teacher induction supporting and mentoring new teachers. Mrs. Welch also worked as a special education coordinator before joining El Roble in 2019.
She has a passion for school climate and culture, and for building positive inclusive experiences for everyone involved in the school community.
Mrs. Welch earned her BA at Sacramento State and her MS at National University.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband have two rambunctious Boston terrier puppies that keep them on their toes.
Michelle Wishner is excited to join the El Roble Team. She began her career in West Covina Unified where she taught primary and upper elementary. Her career moved to Claremont in 2018 when she joined the upper grade team at Mountain View Elementary. On her road to administration, Mrs. Wishner served as the TOSA, teacher on special assignment, for Sumner Danbury where she focused on intervention and curriculum support. Before joining the El Roble team, Mrs. Wishner served as Assistant Principal at Sumner Danbury Elementary.
She is passionate about helping all learners reach their full potential on their educational journey.
Mrs. Wishner earned her bachelor degree at Azusa Pacific University and her Masters at the University of La Verne.
In her spare time, she loves to read, watch hockey, and coach softball. She and her husband have two daughters who attend the Claremont schools.
