Principal's Message

Hello Panther Family!

My name is Sean Delgado, and this 2020-2021 school year will be my first at El Roble Intermediate!  I am very excited to be a part of the El Roble family.  For my brief background, I spent the last seven years as principal at San Antonio High School and Community Day School, here in Claremont.  Before that, I was an assistant principal for seven years, with my longest tenure at Chino Hills High School (five years).  I also taught for five years at Chino High School, where I was an economics and history teacher.  Any experience I have, I hope I can add to the wonderful work being done at El Roble.

In my short time at El Roble, I have already seen that this staff is extremely dedicated.  They are working feverishly to prepare for this upcoming school year.  We don't entirely know what this school year will be like.  With Covid-19, the school system is being challenged in ways that we haven't seen in our careers.  That being said, your El Roble staff is meeting this challenge head-on, with creative solutions, hard-work, and a keen eye on what's best for kids.  I am convinced that our students will be in great hands, and I am glad to be a part of this Panther family.

We look forward to meeting these challenges together.  Part of what is necessary for effective teamwork is good communication.  I will make myself accessible to you.  The most immediate way to get a hold of me is through email at: sdelgado@cusd.claremont.edu.  You can also contact us here at the school by calling (909) 398-0343.  Together, we will get through this challenge, and prepare our Panthers to grow, learn, and successfully transition from elementary to high school.

Respectfully,

Sean Delgado, Ed.D.
