Dear El Roble Family, 

Welcome to El Roble Intermediate School, the Home of the Panthers!  We are pleased that you will be joining us for the 2023-24 school year. We encourage you to read our handbook, as there are many pieces of information, including bell schedules, programs available, and ways to communicate with the El Roble staff.  Additionally, you can always stay up to date with the latest information, announcements, and student recognition on our school website and social media pages. 

El Roble has a rich history in helping students make their transition from elementary school to high school.  El Roble has a caring and dedicated staff that truly embody the school mission by developing the whole child, providing engaging academic instruction, offering extracurricular opportunities and making meaningful connections with students and their families. 

We frequently hear from parents how much their students enjoy their experience at El Roble, and we strive to make this among the best two years of their educational career.  We do this by providing: 

• A rigorous set of courses, many of them influenced by the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program framework 

• A robust offering of electives, including music, practical arts, fine arts, foreign language, and performing arts 

• A 1:1 iPad learning experience, where every student and teacher has an iPad  

• A California Department of Education Gold Ribbon School winner 

• A California PBIS Coalition Gold medal award winner 

• A member of the East San Gabriel Valley Middle School Athletic League with extra-curricular sports including Track and Field, Cross Country, Basketball, Football and Volleyball.   

• Extra-curricular opportunities such as Associated Student Body, Yearbook, Cheer, Color Guard, and Speech and Debate. 

Beyond all this, we offer an environment where students feel valued and safe, and students look forward to coming to school every day.  We look forward to meeting you.
