About El Roble Intermediate School

The community of Claremont is nestled in the foothills below the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. Located approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles, Claremont is well known for its tree lined streets and the Claremont Colleges. El Roble Intermediate School, centrally located on Mountain Avenue in Claremont, serves all 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in the Claremont Unified School District.  At the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, more than 960 students are enrolled.

El Roble Intermediate School provides a warm, stimulating environment where students are actively involved in learning academics as well as positive values. Students receive a standards-based, challenging curriculum based on the individual needs of the students. Ongoing evaluation of student progress and achievement helps us refine the instructional program so students can achieve academic proficiency. We have made a commitment to provide the best educational program possible for El Roble Intermediate School's students, and welcome any suggestions or questions you may have about the school.
